He started playing the trumpet at the age of 8 in the music band of his hometown, Sueca (Valencia). He continues his studies at the Luís Milán Conservatory in Xátiva where he obtains a medium grade degree. In 2005 he was awarded a scholarship to study jazz and modern music at Berklee College of Music (Boston), where he graduated magna cum laude in 2007. There he studied with Joe Lovano, Greg Hopkins, Ellis Marsalis, Dave Douglas, Hal Crook, Ed Tomassi, George Garzone, among others. In 2008 he won the II Concurso de Jovenes Músicos de la UPV de Valencia for the best soloist. He currently lives in Valencia.

He has performed in important festivals with different projects such as Montreaux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Sassari Jazz Festival (Italy), Campeche Jazz Festival (Mexico), Manila Jazz Festival (Philippines), Amersfoort Festival (Netherlands); national jazz festivals such as Terrassa, San Sebastian, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Coruña, Vigo, etc. He has collaborated with musicians such as Peter Bernstein, Dave Kikoski, Bob Gullotti, Greg Hopkins, Dave Douglas, Bill McHenry, George Garzon, Perico Sambeat, Lee Konitz, Jorge Rossy, Eric Alexandre, Rich Perry, among others.

He is part of several national and international groups such as Perico Sambeat Flamenco Big Band, Sedajazz Big Band, Carlos Lopez and the Last Minute Experience, Clasijazz big band from Almería, Sergi Sirvent and the Octopussy, Creative Ensemble Collective, Dave Kikoski European Quartet. He has collaborated many times with Miguel Poveda, where it is worth mentioning the last work of this “Las coplas del querer” with Joan Albert Amargós and Juan Gómez Chicuelo.

His first project “Vorocity” recorded in 2008 and in quintet formation (with Perico Sambeat, Albert Sanz, Dee Jay Foster and Andre Sumelius), has received very good reviews from the best national jazz magazines. “Roommates” recorded in 2011, brings together a quintet of internationally known musicians such as Jorge Rossy (drums), Leo Genovese (piano), Enrique Oliver (tenor saxophone) and Dee Jay Foster (double bass). “Reality Shaw” recorded in 2015, is a co-production of Voro García and Toni Belenguer on trombone, a tribute to the figure of trumpeter Woody Shaw, with Alberto Palau, Toni Vaquer, Max Ridley, Ruben Carlés and Santi Colomer.

The last project “Live at Jamboree”, recorded live at the Jamboree club in Barcelona in August 2017. It brings together an international quintet, such as Chris Cheek on tenor sax, Peter Bernstein on guitar, Dee Jay Foster on double bass and Jorge Rossy on drums.

As a teacher, he has done a year-long course of improvisation and big band workshop at the University Jaume I of Castellón (year 2007). The same year he was teaching combo and modern harmony at Sedajazz. He has collaborated as a guest professor in the Seminario Permanente de Jazz de Pontevedra in 2008 (coordinated by Abe Rábade and Paco Charlín). The same year he took a master class on improvisation with Carlos Lopez and Oscar da Graça at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Santiago de Compostela. In 2011 and 2012 he was invited to teach the Professional Course for Jazz Instrumentalists at the Jobra Conservatory of Music (Porto, Portugal). In 2012 he taught trumpet at the International Jazz Seminar in Alhaurin de la Torre (Málaga) together with other teachers such as Peter Bernstein, George Garzone, Bob Gullotti. Since 2011 he has been teaching at the Avinyó Jazz Workshop (Barcelona). In August 2014 he taught at the Jazz-it-up in Macao (China).
