He was born in Sueca (Valencia) and soon began his musical studies in this town receiving classes from numerous teachers such as F. Pérez, A. Ripoll, E. Pérez, J. de la Vega,… and receiving advanced courses from teachers such as M. Miján, A. Gomis, Daniel Kientzy, Jean-Ives Formeau, Daniel Deffayet, Jean-Marie Londeix, Claude Delangle, Marie-Bernardette Charrier and Marcus Weiss among others.

Among his extensive artistic career, he has won several prizes and has been a finalist in national and international competitions, as well as having obtained both the title of professor and senior lecturer, with the highest qualifications and unanimous “Honorable Mention” at the C.S.M. “Joaquín Rodrigo” in Valencia.

He has participated as a performer and soloist in numerous parts of the world such as Paris, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Berlin, Basel, Lisbon, Milan, Helsinki, Santos, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo, Madrid, Alicante, Santiago de Chile, Salamanca…, in different cycles and International Festivals of Contemporary Music (Festival Música “Musica Nova” Sao Paulo, “Contemporaneamente-Lodi” of Milan, ENSEMS of Valencia, “Unerhörte-Musik” of Valencia, “Unerhörte-Musik” of Valencia, “Unerhörte-Musik” of Valencia, “Unerhörte-Musik” of Valencia, “Unerhörte-Musik” of Valencia, etc.), “Unerhörte-Musik” of Berlin, “Klang Festival” in Helsinki, Mostra Sonora of Sueca, Instituto Cervantes of Paris, Festival “Smash” Salamanca, Auditorio Nacional de Música Madrid, “músicad’hoy” of Madrid, “Opus Festival” of Bourdeaux, etc… ) premiering numerous current works of different composers of international prestige, some of these dedicated to himself. He has several recordings for RTVE, RNE, Radio e Televisao de Portugal, Radio 1 of Finland … and is invited to participate in lectures, conferences and congresses of saxophone.

Involved in the interpretation of contemporary music, he has collaborated with different international ensembles such as TDM Trio De Magia and the Ensemble ESPAI SONOR, combining this facet with the pedagogical and research. He is currently a member of the Trio Feedback.

He has numerous recordings: 1 CD with the Ensemble Espai Sonor, and under the label “Stradivarius”, with music by Voro García, 1 DVD with music by José Manuel López López (“La Grande Celeste”) and with images by filmmaker Pascal Auger. And another 2 CDs, as a soloist, one with works for saxophone by the Spanish composers Mauricio Sotelo, Voro García, José Manuel López and Jesús Torres, and another one with works by Alberto Posadas, Mark André, Raphaël Cendo and Hèctor Parra. At present he has completed a new work on the new sound possibilities in the saxophone, from sopranino to bass, called “New perspectives on the saxophone. From sound exploration to composition”.

Since 1999 he belongs to the body of Teachers of Music and AA.EE and exercises his pedagogical facet in various Professional Conservatories of Music, being invited on occasion to give master-classes and lectures in prestigious national and foreign centers.
